Well ............ I've taken the plunge and sold my soul and bought a Canon 350D DSLR. I have an M42 adaptor and a Leica R adaptor is winging it's way from Hong Kong.
Preliminary tests seem to indicate that you can leave the camera on Program and it will expose OK with an M42 lens mounted.
More later ......................

That's great Rachel! Let us know how it goes. I've regularly used Zuiko, Nikkor and a few Pentax lenses on my 300D. It'll be interesting to compare notes.

Rachel: You will love it! I have the 300D DSLR, and wish I could think of a reason to move up to one of the newer ones (that's the problem with digitals...the next best toy comes out too soon after the one you just got)! I also have a couple of the M42 adapters, and regularly use my Mamiya lenses on it....but don't tell Randy.....this is supposed to be a film forum!

but don't tell Randy.....this is supposed to be a film forum! But heck, it's okay as long as you're using 'film' lenses, eh? Gene
