OK Rick
Yes thankyou so much for showing us that. (Aaaaaaagh!!), OK now that's off my chest - nice gear. In fact, not too far off yours if I think in terms of film rather than digital.
OK - thats fine. Nice setup Rick!!
Best regards - John

Thanks, John. Yes I have an affinity for all things Canon. Before my divorce I had a 20D and a 1D MKII and another Rebel. I also have an A2, EOS 1V and an EOS3 that use the EF mount lenses

Oh WOW. Rick. No wonder you need a sturdy tripod.

Rick, I gotta tell ya that the Digital Rebel never looked this good when I had it! LOL
What tripod head is that? It looks like a good one.

It is the massive Giottos Three way pan. I don't have a ballhead capable of holding my monster glass but do have a Kirk Gimbal mount, The tripod is huige being over 6 feet tall without the center column and it has more positions and moves than a contortionist. I can remove the center column, attach the plate with the stud, just under the head, and get to wqithing 5 inches of the ground. I can also flip over the collar, run in the center column, at a right angle, and take photos straight down.

"Oh WOW. Rick. No wonder you need a sturdy tripod." And a sturdy back.
When I saw picture No. 1 the first thing that came to my mind was "ET, your father has arrived."
That is a most impressive set up and an impressive photo of it.

Nice set up Rick. Nothing wrong with Canon. I have a TX, TLb, Ftb, AT1, AE1, 3 AE1 Programs, an EX/Auto, a Bell & Howell EE Auto/35 (rebadged Canon), and an EOS that I use ONLY with my m42 adapter. (mainly because the lens that came with it is broken LOL). I have a few aftermarket lenses but in Canon I only have 4-50 f1.8 FD, a 50 f1.4 FD, a 50 f1.4 FL, and a 200 f3.5 FL. Can't say a bad word about any of them except the odd "Canon squeak".

Nice setup, Rick.
My one digital is the Canon Rebel...unfortunately, I bought it before they came out with the black body, which I would much prefer.
