Found this old ad proof, and I think it qualifies as nostalgic...at least for me! www.mamiya35collectors.com/chilly dog.jpg[/img] As you can see by the date, it was 1975. The little boy is my oldest son (he had just turned 3)...the man, his uncle (my brother-in-law)...and the hands holding the platter belonged to my wife! I was working for a little advertising agency at the time, and the ad was put together on a shoestring. I wrote the (pathetic) copy, shot the images with my Mamiya 1000 DTL, and assembled the mechanicals for the ad on the drawing table in my bedroom! The one memorable thing about the shot (other than the fact it is really two shots (my wife's hands and the platter were shot at a different time from my son and his uncle)...the hot dogs have been retouched to make them longer! We were not trying to hoodwink anyone...we just bought these JUMBO size buns...and the hotdogs looked pathetically small in them. So we decided we either had to cut down the buns, or put 1-1/3 hot dogs in each one, and retouch. Mind you, this was back in the day of paint and airbrush! No computers! There was no time to re-shoot anything...the ad ran the morning after I put it together!

That's great Ron! There used to be a chain called New York Lunch that had stores from New York City to Chicago and they specialized in Hot Dogs with Greek Sauce. Of course they are all gone now. (I'm showing my age)
