The Moskva is a very easy camera to use. I love it. My advice is to get one if you really want one.

Heath,
I think we need the colour to bring out the spirit of a merry-go-round and also to separate what in B&W are confusing elements. I see it's true. Everything revolves in the opposite direction in Oz.

Oh yes...the good ol' days of the Merry-go-Round. Brings back a lot of childhood memories of the annual Fireman's festivals held in our ol' neighborhood.
A restored one today can bring a fancy price.
It was one of three rides I could endure without getting deathly sick...the other two being the Ferris Wheel and the Bumper Cars.
Thanks for the nostalgic piece!!!

Whoooo!
What was I saying about getting the contrast levels right for a b&w roundabout shot? There you go - perfect.
BTW - did you alter your scanning technique? You had a few that looked dull in comparison to this some time ago. Just curious 'cause I found a great improvement in my scans when I used Photoshop as a gateway to scan them in.

John, these were scanned at my local minilab. I got the Moskva before my Epson 4480 and used to have all my films scanned at the time I had them developed and printed. Used to cost me a fortune. Now all I have them do is develope the rolls and I scan them when I get home.

Heath, beautiful tones in this carousel shot! How do you find using the Moskva? They've been tempting me for years Gene Gene, the Moskva is a very capable camera and my model 4 takes a very sharp picture. You can see examples in my album (doubs43) on the RFF. Walker

This thread has probably worn out its welcome, but I cannot resist posting this pic that I cut out of the July/August issue of AAA Living. It produces no where as good as the pic of the little girl Brian posted, but is just another example of a small child enjoying his ride while supported on the horse by his mother.
