I have quite a few older cameras and the major problem I have is deteriorated seals I have had seals on my AE1 replaced and it is to expensive to have them all done. I have talked to a rep. from olympus and he sent me all the seal material they had left for the XA series. I still do not know how to remove the old material without getting it into the camera. I also need to know how to attach the seals. Any help? johnw

johnw: Patience and care. Not much advice, is it? But, truthfully, that's what it amounts to. I have a page on my web site that talks about it. Don't know if it will be much help, but it's here if you'd like to take a look: herron.50megs.com/seals.htm

Thanks Ron. I checked out your site last night. It looks like something even I could do. I had an idea about how to change these things, but I was worried about crap in the innards. ( the cameras ) I guess it would be smart to start on one of my junkers first for practice. I will have to get in touch with Mr. Goodman for supplies. Again youyr site was very informational. Thanks.
