I recently did a CLA on the old Bausch & Lomb shutter on my Pony Premo, and the recent posts on cleaning equipment brought to mind a warning about old pneumatically timed shutters that may save someone a heartache.
The shutter blades on some of them were made from thin Vulcanite and can break very easily, but the ones to take special care with are those made from a form of varnished paper or card - not immediately apparent.
The only way to clean dirt and migrated oil from these is to remove them and wipe them clean and dry. Any type of solvent like Ronsonol or isopropyl alcohol is likely to damage them beyond repair ... and replacements aren't easy to find except from a similar junk shutter, which doesn't turn up very often!
BTW, the air pistons of these shutters must run absolutely dry. Any trace of oil will slow them down to the point where 'stiction' stops them working.
