I haven't been actively enlarging my FSU camera collection for several years but recently bumped across a keeper. This 1967 Zorki 4b was one of the more cheaply-made later models but the inscription on it celebrates "50 years of Soviet Government." There aren't too many FSU camera models with inscriptions with direct Communist references. Quite a few 1967 Z4s had it and some Zorki 2Cs celebrated a Communist Youth Congress about 10 years earlier. It has the rigid Industar 50 f3.5 lens. While my 1956 Zorki 4a has The Jupiter 8 f2 lens. The 4b also has the lettering and shutter speed numbers painted rather than engraved and has nylon mess covering rather than Vulcanite used on earlier cameras. This model does has strap lugs, which were dispensed with during the last few years of Z4 production.

I love old Soviet stuff. Here's a clock that supposedly was made for use on board Soviet nuclear submarines: If true, it's interesting that this thing is mechanical. One would think there would be an abundance of electricity on board such vessels.
