Hi Sherri,
These are beautiful. The first one is stunning - your scanning technique puts me to shame. The texture of the rock in the third is superb. Never certain about long exposures of flowing water though. Did you by any chance take a short exposure of the same shot for comparison?

Sherrie! Wonderfull shots! I like them all. The water in the first picture looks like glass.

Very nice. I love the first two, but not entirely sure about the rushing water. I also think that maybe a slightly faster shutter speed would improve it to give the water a more liquid look, but not fast that it stands still. Moving water is notoriously difficult to judge right.

Sherri,
Good job!!
You captured those reflections in the first plus a bit of color with the tree and bark on the right side.
I also really like the way the small amount of water is surrounded on three sides by the fall foilage color.

Thank you everybody for the kind comments. Bob and I just lucked out on the river shots. We were driving home after a long day of wandering, along a strip of road I've travelled often.....and usually the water is just black looking. I"m not sure what the shutter speed was on the water picture, but I didn't have a lot of choices. It was in the woods in the late afternoon and I'd guess I was using between 1/4 and 1/60. I had no tripod, so I was holding the camera. I'm wishing I had taken a couple of more for comparison, but it was an awkward spot and I'm not sure how I didn't managed to fall in. Next time I'll try to get a comparison Sherri
