Got this cutie in a box of supposed parts cameras. Cleaned and lubed the shutter, works great. This will be a good companion for my Zeiss 522/24. Took it to the fleamarket for a test run today. I just set the focus at 12', speed to 1/300, aperture to f16 and let fly. I was shooting Fomapan 400. Developed in HC110 for 6 minutes.

Thank you kindly. These old cameras were really built. A lot of weight in a small package. I can actually carry it in a shirt pocket. Now to figure out a wrist strap arrangement.

Nice shots, G'man! That's a pretty cool looking cam. Does it have a tripod socket? I think there are Gordie straps available that attach there.

Cool old Welta, they were really sharp back then. Nice fleamarket shots too. Were there any old cameras there?

just my two cents here: The Welti were called "poor man´s Retina"....I like them very much, ´cause they are very compact and handy... Is that a Steinheil lens on yours? Nice triplet, better than the post-war Trioplan.... Have fun with it!
see you,
Philipp

Yep, Steinheil, Cassar 2.9. I didn't really give it a good workout. But I liked the way it handled. I have a Retina IIA, and it is not as easy to my hand as the Welta.

Nice little camera! I was eyeing one of these at the last camera trade/meet thing I went to... Wish I'd grabbed it now!
Cheers!
