I picked a 110 SLR on ebay a while back, turned out it works just fine, put a role of film through it and thought I would show the results! I forgot just how small 110 film was until I saw the negatives! (Processed in lightroom to punch up the color a little) Don't see myself using it a lot but I am happy to save this little guy in my collection! Nancy

We have a Minolta 110 SLR Mk1 zoom but it is one of the few cameras in our collection we have not around to using yet. So glad to see the results you have posted; now we shall have to get around to trying ours.
Did you process the film yourself? We don't have a 100 reel; either Ernie will have to cut one down or we shall look on eBay for one.

Nancy,
Very nice pictures but there seems to be a very slight bluish, milky haze over them. Is it the camera or some intermediate step or, perhaps, my monitor?

Nice work Nancy. Obviously the Minolta is a capable little camera. I'm curious if it's a manual camera or auto as I believe the image is just a bit underexposed. I tried this by using the Auto Contrast feature of Picasa and your photo looks like this: Not 100% sure but a possibility. Is that the bluish cast you mentioned Mickey? P.S. I like the picture, please I hope you don't mind me manipulating it a bit.

jennyandernie I send the negatives to Mystic photo lab for processing, I am not set up to process 110 myself. Just plain Curt I don't mind the manipulation, no problem! With the camera you set the aperture and it does the shutter. mickeyobe There may be a bluish tint, not sure, the pictures seemed ok to me overall, not really the best quality but I am just happy it works at all! I had no idea that 110 slr's were ever made until I ran across this little oddity. All I ever saw when I was young was the typical P&S that I think people expect when they say, "110 camera"! Thanks everyone for your thoughts!

Hi Nancy, Actually I only know of 4 110 SLR's although there might have been others. Minolta made a 110 SLR Zoom, a 110 SLR Zoom Mark II (looks like a tiny SLR) and 2 Pentax kits with several lenses (18mm, 24mm and 50mm), the Pentax Auto 110 and the Pentax Auto 110 Super. All fun cameras and really affordable these days. Thanks for sharing the photos with us.

Ahhh, zoom 110's! I have a Minolta Mark II - superb camera. But has anyone heard of the Fujica 350Zoom? It's a conventional looking 110 camera but with 25-42mm zoom lens up front.
The story I read is that it was really something but it was quickly overshadowed by the Minolta 110 Zoom of the same year ('76 or 77). The 350Zoom is fully mechanical with a single shutter speed of 1/125th sec; 3-position aperture settings; and dedicated electronic flash. I bought it new in its original display case, everything wrapped in plastic -found the entire package at the local swap meet and paid $10 for it.
The local antique shop has the original Minolta 110 Zoom but they want $60 for it. I'll scrounge around a bit more and see if I can score one for cheaper.

I am fortunate enough to have both of the Minolta 110 SLRs, and both of the Pentax 110 SLRs with most of their available lenses. The Minolta Mark II is a fine piece of equipment with aperature preference, two stops of exposure compensation, a good zoom lens and a decent selection of shutter speeds. It uses the presently available LR44 batteries. Its only problem is that it is relatively large for a 110 camera. But a great camera.
The Pentax 110 SLR is tiny with full automation. Good selection of very good lenses. Cute with a capital C! The problem for me is that it is so small and so light that I have problems with camera movement.
In any case, they are fun to use.
