Besides the Camera collecting, there are vintage audio collecting, gun collecting, hand loading, the old car hobby, die cast and a few more I have momentarily forgotten. ;D

Other than cameras.......model car kits (I have a few unbuilt planes too), Hot Wheels, HO trains, slot cars (1/26 Eldon/Strombecker, HO Aurora AF/X, etc), Sci Fi Books and movies, Bicycles (I'm down from 31 to 13), Ramblers, Old Cars + Trucks especially muscle cars, fishing and old lures, Watches and old radios, either tabletop with tubes or pocket transistor style. Even have old coins/stamps and marbles. Although you'd think I'm shy a few. Do glass negatives/slides/MF negatives/enlargers/photography books count as cameras??

Living in an urban apartment I wish I could go further with more interests, but my non-photographic interest is now mechanical watches. Early on I decided to narrow down my area, and decided on Soviet, Russian and Belarussian wrist watches, and there's much to explore and delight too. I study them and buy very selectively so I have fewer than ten samples. too bad I am totally incapable of servicing them.

I have just got my feet wet in the camera world with all the cameras i discovered that were from my Great Uncle, and my new Nikon that i got back in June. I have just scratched the surface of what i can do with that camera.
But other than cameras, i like drawing (which i don't do enough of). I love cars, any cars, muscle cars, imports, basically everything. I think i like cars so much because my dad has a 1970 Mustang (love it, even though i have not driven it yet).
I also enjoy wrenching on cars, especially my own. I have probably saved over a thousand dollars by doing the work myself.

My cat, spirituality, mysticism, outdoors / hiking, backpacking, meditation, photography, cosmology, quantum physics, travel, ET disclosure (coming soon ... you heard it here first! ), crop circles, reading, deep conversation, food, coffee. Started dabbling in television production lately -- loving the collaborative nature of it!

This thread had sort of passed me by, till resurrected by luvantique today. The only answer I can give is that my other interests include anything that is interesting: people, animals, machines, plants, trains, cars, sport etc. Photography joins them all up rather well. The rugby side of things can be seen at www.flickr.com/photos/29703812@N06/sets/ . The photos there are not quite all mine: just about 95%. Anyone know how I can fit more into the day?

Since retirement we're getting into camping. Take the trailer, granddaughter and dog and head out. Usually Sara's brother and his wife go along in their RV. Next week we're going to The City of Rocks, a spot in southern Idaho near the Utah border where California bound emigrants camped back in the old days. Now it's a state park. About 200 miles from our place.. The trip always provide lots of photo ops.

Wayne,
I look forward to the photos from The City of Rocks. One thing I think is wonderful on this forum, as I have said before, is getting to see places and things that would remain hidden if left to mainstream tourism. Is it a trailer tent - or by trailer are you meaning what we call a caravan? I've been caravanning on and off for as long as I can remember. Originally we had a converted coach, which was stationed in North Wales. I don't remember actually going anywhere in it, so maybe the motor was u/s.
Dave.

Hi all! Besides photographica, I'm very interested in history, design styles (art deco, Danish modern, and Bauhaus mostly), anything motorized, books, Furniture restoration, vintage radios (I just bought a 40's Philco table model to restore for 5.00USD at a yard sale), some modern art. I'm just a curious guy, and one thing always leads to another Doug

I also accumulate slide rules. It's funny that most people today don't know what they are, but fifty years ago, you couldn't do anything much without them.
And books and computer equipment. (want a nice Xerox 820-II with dual 12" floppy drives?
And microscopes. But that just got started.
Used to love soccer, until I got too old. Now I just watch.
