Did it take you that long to realise it was cold and it was snowing? I like the photo - any more in the series? Dave. Dave, I knew that it was cold that day, but never expected a suddenly snow-storm. Here is a picture taken about 5 minutes before: I even spied some snow flakes in Vienna today. Current temperature ( at 08:45 pm ) : 4,1° C. Pretty cold for the season. I hope the weather will change soon. Hey, it`s springtime ! MIK

Fickle weather here too. We had snow and freezing rain and woke up to 1/2 inch of ice on the windshield yesterday. The roads were a skating rink forenoon and me with summer tires on. Mother Nature is being such a tease these days.

Bob, you'd be nice and warm in a kennel if you were sharing it with a St. Bernard Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Summer is here in SW of France, temperature in the upper 20s, last two days over 30, with bright sunshine and blue sky.

While here in New Zealand we are having a very wet and cold winter, the ice on the Wedderburn Dam is 15cm (about 6 inches) thick and they are running a curling tournament. At least it's not THAT cold in Taupo, our lake doesn't freeze over

Tomorrow is supposed to be 33℃ and stuffy. Mickey

Thanks for posting that, John. Curling is normally associated with Scotland and Canada.

John
I never thought of Kiwis curling on natural ice, looks like fun. I think it has been a long while since it has been done here locally. I think we have been spoiled with indoor rinks. Mind you ice fishing is pretty big locally and that is next to impossible to do indoors on artificial ice.

That is quite the heat wave you fellas in southern Ontario are suffering through. We have had it hot and muddy up here too but not near as high a temps as you've had. We caught a break today with it turning to rain and some thunder storms. Funny we complain when its and when its cold, poor mother nature just can't win with us.

Bob Bob, The heat wave broke more or less yesterday. After a series of thunderstorms rolled through the temperature plunged from 33℃ to 23℃ overnight. But the humidity stayed high. Back to 33℃ today and a promised 37℃ tomorrow. My favourite summer sport, bicycling, is out of the question when heat advisories are being issued and reissued. I haven't been on my bike once this year. I guess it could be worse. We haven't yet approached the terrible conditions of the Dirty Thirties. Something to anticipate. Mickey
