Just a gorgeous spot, the kind you can relax at and read a book.

This lake was originally made by beavers near one of the last copper mines (Central) to close in Michigans' UP in 1959. This was shot with my AE-1, 80-200 lens and ISO 400 film.

Actually the creek has eroded most of the ground under the tree. When I last saw this tree it was still standing or maybe leaning. Scot

Millpond at the site of the Whitman Mission near Walla Walla, Washington. The monument on the hill in the distance marks the 1847 incident when Cayuse Indians killed Dr. Marcus Whitman, his wife Narcissa, and several other mission residents. Nikon D300, 18-200 Nikkor zoom.

Saw the topic "Water" - Oh no, how long can this go on? Then you look at the pictures.... Brilliant. Well done Randy and Scott. Looking back through all the posts on this topic, I think this is what the Board is all about.

Thank you John! How's this? Fall colors, rough cold water, a spillway, a covered bridge, and a steel truss bridge all in one photo!

Wayne - Sorry I missed you out before. Superb also, but as you people would say, Randy's covered all the bases. May as well close the board now Randy, because that's just it. But - you could have lost some of those bushes in the foreground. And maybe......
BTW, first time I thought to mention your avatar Wayne. Much better when you portray yourself as you really are, rather than that impersonation of a human being who appears sometimes. Just not you !!
