thinning my collection, at least for awhile. In RF's I'm now down to my Bessa R3A (which, alas, is on its way to LA for exchange due to a mechanical problem), Kiev 4a (gotta have at least one FSU RF), Oly XA (one of my fave cams), and a Canonet QL19 that belonged to my wife's mom and dad. I've cleared out my M42 gear totally and am now down to Nikon-only SLR gear. Perhaps a few too many Nikon film bodies, but I'll hold the line for now. My Rolleiflex is gone, replaced by a Minolta Autocord and a Yashicamat 124G. I'll have a bake-off between the two and decide which one stays as my everyday MF cam. I'm keeping the Hassy. Walker, my Kiev TTL prism arrived the other day and I'll be trying it out soon. Whew! Maybe I better run out and buy a new lens Gene

I have a truckload Gene. It would take me a year or so to thin my stuff out.

As I've said before, I'm not a true collector -- I just tend to acquire cameras. I'd acquired way more than I could comfortably use, and using them is my only interest. I do admire them in passing though Gene

Gene, I'm happy to learn that you've gotten the meter prism. Any first impressions?

Gene, I'm happy to learn that you've gotten the meter prism. Any first impressions? Walker, I haven't used it yet, but my first impression is that it weighs more than some of my 35mm cameras Also, it looks really sturdy. Gene

Gene: Sorry to hear your Bessa has problems. I should get rid of a my non Nikon gear (and maybe some of it) I probably could drum up more ambition to sell some of the stuff if it was worth something--like your departed M2. I've never had one but a friend claims a Kiev with the electronic finder is right on the verge of being a tripod camera, weight wise. Of course so was my Nikon F4s
