This is a portrait of our daughter's four-month old mixed breed--Preston. She got him at the animal shelter. He's a fighter. Already survived a bout with Parvo, which often is fatal for pups. Nikon D100. Promaster 28-105 zoom lens. lens

An outstanding expression of alertness and (doggie) intelligence. I can see why your daughter chose him. The DoF is exactly right to isolate his face and eyes. A very nice shot, Wayne.

Lovely portrait of a lovely intelligent looking pup. How could anyone turn him out to an animal shelter?
I'm glad he's found loving home. I'm sure your daughter loves him, and he'll return that love with lifelong faithfulness.

The Promaster was the first lens I had for the D100. It's the one I took to Europe last spring. Whoever made it did a good job. It's solidly built, too.
