Just a quick still life for a test shot. Praktica MTL5 Praktica 135mm Sorry 'bout the out of focus foreground. As I said, test photo with very minor Photoshop. Might need to resize but here it is for now.

Looks to need a bit of Photoshop for bleeding reds, possibly recropping to delete out of focus foreground. I just thought I liked the theme of old cameras/films/meter/radio/8mm reels, bottles and change of season mountain ash berries/maple leaves/rosehips etc. Thought I'd call it "We may never pass this way again".

Problems with this shoot were I found my Canon FTb has a defective hot shoe (tried 7 flashes none worked), Praktica MTL5 works like a dream but after trying a whole roll of 36 with the Canon I was annoyed and rushed the lighting/focus so depth of field isn't what it should be and as usual I couldn't find a cable release in a hurry so I used the self timer which seems to have given a bit of mirror slap/vibration. Enough excuses, good way to kill a rainy afternoon.

The MTL-5 is a great camera. Very solid (could make a weapon if it is needed). I got mine on eBay for the body only. Paid less than $20 AUD including postage and it is in perfect working order and looks almost mint.
I must take some shots of my cameras to post.
(**makes mental note about this**)

Hi Heath, Yep, MTL5 is one of my better M42 cameras for sure. Clear viewfinder, nice feel to the leather (leatherette?) and as you said a perfect self defense tool, LOL.
