Rick,
You haven't said it all but it should be enough to convince the world that the T90 is IT. Something I have known since 1985/6. So I needn't even put in my two cents worth.
Mickey, a T90er forever. 8 June 2014. I repeat my two cent rave of 8 years ago. But inflation has made it worth at least a quarter. If my T90 ever dies I will have it stuffed and mounted on a marble pedestal. Mickey P.S. I see we ned a picture of that gallant warrior.

Used an F1 (the original model) in the military. If I remember correctly, the only thing I didn't like about it was the meter switch was a separate entity -- like the Olympus OM1 -- and was easy to leave on and run down the batteries.

T-90!
I received my first one as a birthday present when they were new, purchased a second one a few years later used, and have run more film through them both then all my other cameras combined. I've lugged them through the desert, the mountains, and a goodly number of race tracks. Hot days, cold days, plenty of rain. On motorcycle trips, bicycle trips, and to the beach. They have never ever let me down. I've a lot of "modern" SLR's around here to choose from but when I really want to be sure my shots will be right, no matter what the lighting situation, I grab a T-90. Best metering system of anything I've used including the Nikon Matrix as on my F4 and F5. By far the best flash metering (I have 3 300TL's). Olympus had the multi spot metering first with the OM-4 but having used both I think Canon did it better. All the automation one could want but still very simple to use as a manual camera, nothing gets in the way, just an ergonomic tour de force.
Other Canons? I go with the early F1 as number 2. As others have said its one tough camera. I dreamed of one for years and the camera is everything I fantasized about. Its the one I taught my daughter on, and that she used in her high school photo class (I do believe her instructor was impressed). Number 3 I'd go with the A1. My father had one "back in the day" which he used up until he was seduced by the siren song of digital. It sat on a shelf for years but is now mine and after a recent CLA works fantastically.
I was recently given a nice FTb QL setup which I'm looking forward to trying out. It came to me from a family friend and includes the camera, a Canon 55 f1.2, and a couple of Series 1 Vivitar zooms, the 28-90, and 70-210. Quite a nice little pre Christmas gift!
Speaking of Christmas, the camera of choice for capturing all the family pictures? Yep, a T-90!

I allways liked the T90 (in the battery dependable camera range) it's styling was way ahead of it's time in fact most peole who don't know the camera tend to believe it is an autofocus camera , wich it isn't (a bit to early for that)... or is it? Now, for your viewing pleasure and because it is christmas, behold... the T90 AF with christmas wrapping !!!

And here it is totally nude, modestly showing its sleekly graceful but beautifully functional lines. The epitome of a 35mm SLR. Retired now after 20 years of honourable, dedicated and flawless performance. It is eagerly waiting the transplant that will convert it to digital so it may once again spring into action. It is accompanied by its favourite lens companion. A Vivitar 24 - 70 mm macro focusing zoom. A truly awesome team. Mickey

I like heavy cameras: Merry Canon Christmas! So do I Hans!
I used to haul this beast around the racetracks. Nothing like a little workout while shooting! That's a Tamron 80-200 f2.8 SP LD on the front. One of the sharpest and best all around pieces of glass its been my pleasure to use.
For those of you not familiar with that motor drive, its the Motor Drive MF and eats 10 AA batteries at a time. Its a heavy setup empty, but ready to shoot it can put a serious strain on the ole shoulder strap.
I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas, peace and happiness to you all!

I'm gonna drift off topic slightly by saying the best Canon EVER wasn't an SLR. It was the Canon P rangefinder.
