"Make sure you get both versions of the Pellix! "
Is there a QL and a Non QL? My FTb had the QL and when I bulk loaded film you didn't even have to cut a leader if you didn't want to. I had a flirtation with Pentax K mount that I sold my FTb for (Dumb Move).

Thank you all for your replies;I seem to have touched a few nerves..... Yes John I take your point about 'drawing a line' which is why I have stuck, in SLR's any way to Pentax M42 and K mount (the latter only because my wife had an MX,and I didn't want the 50mm lense to feel lonely)and the EOSs. I read somewhere that most people stick with brand they start with, bit like their taste in music.
Gene I have to admit I have cast admiring glances at the OM's and the Leica's but I wouldn't know where to start with the Leica because of the vast range (and vast prices!)Perhaps you guys could make some suggestions....(what am I saying!) BTW I already have two XA's and a Zorki 4, so Ive made a start! Regards Chris

Is there a QL and a Non QL? Yes. Pellix was upgraded to QL status when the FT was introduced. QL carried over to the FTb and FTb-n. QL is nice if you bulk load. No need to cut the leader.

The M2 if you use 35mm lenses a lot, or the M3 if you prefer 50mm. Nice thing is the M2/3's have become very affordable over the last year or so. These cameras are meterless, like the Zorki 4. They can use screwmount lenses via an adapter or any M-mount lens. There's a lot of available glass and some of which are nothing short of spectacular. Gene
