Went to see her on Sunday. If you ever, ever get the chance, go and see that girl. Awesome ! Holds a note for 35 seconds (high note - belted out).
Worth coming over here to see her American / Canadian/ Australian / European guys (oh yes and Reiska!).
Oh - and happy birthday Gene old mate!

Out of all her pics on that site, there is only one that looks anywhere near her stated age of 63. Fountain of youth? Probably no current pics of her there.

I changed my mind. I only got one of her recordings "Elkie Brooks Priceless" and I'm sold.
Lilac Wine and Warm And Tender Love are my favourites. She is an option to be rekconed with.
