A Lubitel 166 is currently going on our local auction site. (trademe.co.nz). It has garnered 6 bids, reached NZ$90 and still not hit reserve. Buy now is NZ$150. Meanwhile, an obviously knowledgeable vendor is selling a nice & tidy Voigtlander Brillant on the same auction site. The Brillant has 2 bids & has already hit its reserve at NZ$26. Marketing cachet is everything I guess. The Lubi's vendor started his auction with that magic word: Lomo. Then again, the Lubi is (and I quote from the manual) "an up-to-date and simple in operation camera intended for the widest range of photo amateurs." Whereas the Brillant is just a basic, 70 year old TLR. For anyone Downunder looking for Brillant, here's the link. I swear I'm not related to the vendor, etc. etc. I'd bid myself, but I'm trying to trim the GAS, not accumulate more. www.trademe.co.nz/Electronics-photography/Film-cameras/Vintage/photos/a-160349361/p-69644983.htm
