Many many years ago when I was a bit flushed with money I bought a new Leica M6. I later traded it in for a nicer M3. Last year I was able to acquire this black M6 TTL. I've got a film in at the moment and I'm just waiting for some better weather to finish it off. The camera is fitted with a modern Voigtländer 35mm Color-Skopar lens.

No camera matches the Leica M for sheer beauty.

Boy, you miss a few threads and peoples collection magically swell, another very nice edition. I'm with Wayne on the M Leicas being beautiful to view and use. The ones I have are meterless and at the risk of sounding unmanly I envy yours for the meter. I hope you get some better weather soon so you can enjoy that M6. Those modern CV lenses are no slouches either. I use a 21/4 and 28/3.5 and have not been on bit disappointed with them.

Thanks Wayne and Bob. Seems that you are a wide angle enthusiast Bob. The widest film camera lens I have is a 20mm on a Minolta SLR but I haven't used it much. I've often wondered about the excellent selection of wides in the Voigtländer range as they are very reasonably priced.

With both SLRs and RFs I do tend to like wides and a 35mm is my normal. I like to use the wides indoors when I travel to get it all in and use the 20/21 the least. The CVs that I do have are thread mount to be able to go with either SM Leicas or M Leicas. It is a real pity they discontinued the CV 28/3.5 as it is a jewel as far as build and performance goes. The workhorse lens on my DSLR is a 20-40 Tamron.
