I bought a new (actually used) table saw last week. It was advertised on Craig's List by a guy about 15 miles from where we live. After picking up the saw I decided to put my old radial arm saw on CL because I don't have room for two saws.
Within hours after posting the ad I got an E mail from a guy. He said he was on a business trip but wanted the saw and was going to have his secretary send me a certified check--including money for shipping. Then, I was supposed to pay the "shipping representative" who would be in touch with me. He said it was a done deal so I should take the ad off Craig's List.
My reply:
Dear sir. Thanks for your prompt response to my ad. Here's what I need you to do:
1: Take your certified check and roll it up as tightly as you feel is appropriate.
2.Shove the certified check up your Nigerian @$$.
It's been three days and I haven't received a reply.
