Are you sure they're derelicts Roy? Looks like somebody is calling round regularly to pump the tires up!
Nice pictures - the first looks a bit like an infra-red shot.

Really great pics Roy, I like the old Dodge truck.

Thanks John and Randy: There was a very fine mist falling when these shots were taken, and there was a faint sheen on everything. That might account for the almost IR quality of the bridge shot.
There was another old Dodge in a driveway near the two in the field, that looked as though it might be in running condition. I think that the old boom truck is a Diamond T. Can anyone ID it for sure? Roy

Thanks Andrew!
There are a surprising number of old vehicles of many types setting around along the back roads of N. Calif. I've started a "project" of sorts of finding them and shooting them--as time and other commitments allow. I think it will be fun.

Nice ones, Roy! I like old vehicles, this is a good project. I had the same reaction to the first one of the bridge, it looked almost like an IR to me too. What's the f-stop on your Rokkor? I have a 50mm 1.7 that looks stunning to me. Very good construction and play too. You got some good results with the BWCN!

Michael--thanks for looking, and for the comments. The Rokkor X I used on the two old trucks is a 1.7.
The Vitessa and Mr. Gene's posts sparked my interest in B/W. For convenience's sake, I started using BWCN. Stuff takes some getting used to, but yields good results after you learn about it. Roy
