which is pretty much comprised of 3 towns...Franklin, Tilton, and Northfield. I work in Franklin, we shop in Tilton...so it's part of our daily stomping grounds. The Northfield train station. The old depot is now a hall that you can rent for events...the boxcars privately owned "campers" Every once in a while they all disappear on an expedition to god knows where! From the Tilton side of the railroad bridge Mills along the Winnepesauke river...tilton side...They've recently been converted to several shops and a doctors office. Just a few miles downstream on the Winnepesauke river trail...all that remains of a 19th century paper mill. Central Street in Franklin, a little pocket park next to one of the storefronts. They call the area Twin Rivers because of the Winnepesauke River and the Pemigewassett river. Downtown Franklin actually sits just above where the 2 rivers join to form the Merrimack river headwaters, which from there flows down into Massachusetts before emptying into the Atlantic. Funny how Bob and I were out on this little photo trip together and yet came home with such different photos. I was using an Olympus OM-1 with a soligor Macro-zoom lens (37mm to 105 mm) and Fuji 100 film

Sherri, thanks for posting these. I like seeing the old brick buildings and the river. And the boxcars disappearing is definitely intriguing! There's a story there..
