Hi, Turning out some old boxes and came across this neg of my late wife Valerie. It was taken, oh, some time in the late 1980s when I went with her on a photo shoot of somebody's vintage car for one of the motoring mags. As I was just tagging along I loaded a camera (can't remember now what it was) to try out a roll of VERY outdated HP2 and rated it at about 200 ASA to allow for drop in speed. The speed estimate seems about right, but the contrast had also fallen off. You can see what sort of grain Ilford's Hypersensitive Pan 2 from the 1970s had. I don't remember now what Valerie was saying but it was probably "Get out of the flaming way when I'm working!" Not one of my more successful shots but it's the only picture I've got of Val actually working. PeterW

Wonderful shot Peter, I think she's saying "you are my sunshine".

Peter,
An excellent shot conveying the intensity of a true professional.
The hands and arms especially show a strength and poised tenseness of one who is prepared for whatever may occur.
