Hi, In response to Josef: I'm just an amateur, but I find that the Color-Skopar (on my Vito II) compares very well to other cameras I also have with Tessar and Xenar lenses. Very sharp and good contrast. Get one and try it out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I believe that the Solinar lens on the higher-end Agfa cameras of the 50s and 60s was of the same design as the Skopar; 4-element, front-cell focusing. I also have late 1950s Japanese cameras with lenses of this same design (Beauty and Welmy brands), and they are also quite sharp and contrasty. --Scott in Taipei >>>I'd like to know how the Color Skopar compares to the Zeiss Tessar (on many of the Zeiss-Ikon cameras I collect and use)
Regards from icey Germany
JosefHere's a few photos taken with my Vito II (folding model) with the Skopar lens: incense urn in Fu He temple, Taipei County, Taiwan. (Voigtlander Vito II) This jolly fellow often parks his bicycle in the park and folds paper airplanes for the kids --just for the fun of it! He shows them how to fold them, and they fly really far. The kids jump up and down, and say "I want one, too!"... and they ALL get one! (Voigtlander Vito II) Temple complex in South Korea (Voigtlander Vito II)

In my camera bag right now as I type this from the cab of my 18 wheeler in Syracuse NY, I have a Vitomatic II that has the rangefinder and selenium meter (that still works) that otherwise is identical to the Vito B you have. It takes great photo's. I use it for my B&W film.
