Greg,
When I saw you nickname I knew I had heard it somewhere, but I had to look it up to find out where the name came from.
Spooky - or you have, without realising, read it somewhere and stored it in you mind and then brought it out at a later date.
Dave.

Dave, He did that Rifleman character the year before I was born (1963). Trippy! Talk about foresight. Mickey

I'm confused. The only thing I can connect with is the Rifleman. So is Greg a celebrity?

Chuck Connors was the rifleman in the TV series, but Lee Van Cleef appeared it as Johnny Drako.

I DO remember the opening sequence of the show, with Connors firing off his rifle REALLY fast!

I remember the theme song. Loved the show. One of the neighbor kids had a Rifleman toy rifle (back in the days before play guns had to have orange tips. In later years Chuck Connors specialized in plying evil guys on a lot of shows.

Well now, isn't this interesting?
"The Rifleman was one of the few American shows allowed on Russian television at that time; that was because it was Brezhnev's favorite. Connors and Brezhnev got along so well that Connors traveled to the Soviet Union in December 1973. In 1982, Connors expressed an interest in traveling to the Soviet Union for Brezhnev's funeral, but the U.S. government would not allow him to be part of the official delegation. Coincidentally, Connors and Brezhnev died on the same day, ten years apart.
A heavy smoker, Connors died in Los Angeles at the age of 71, of pneumonia stemming from lung cancer."
