That's a neat solution, Mickey. You don't have to unscrew the grip like I do. But Im not sure I'd like to walk far with the camera on. Apart from balance, it looks as though the camera would get a thump every time the pole hits the ground. SidW, There is a spring loaded shock absorber inside the thickest tube (see the catalogue page) that, hopefully, will prevent such damage. However, it takes but a couple of seconds to snap the camera onto the quick release Mickey

Dave, Unfortunately I can't walk at all without crutches now, not even round the house. My right leg just won't take any weight at all, it just collapses like a piece of chewed string. I agree with you about carrying a cup of tea, but I've developed a technique. I have my tea or coffee in a mug with a nice big handle. I can hook two fingers in the mug's handle and still hold the crutch handle in the palm of my hand. Provided the mug's not filled to the brim I can usually negotiate from the kitchen to my downstairs den without spilling any. Marvellous what you can do with practice . There are always offers of help from my son, daughter in law or grandson Luke, but I'm a stubborn old cuss. If I can devise a way of doing something for myself I will. PeterW

Aw. Come on. I haven't reached the summit yet.

Still struggling up, eh, mickey? Yes. The hill seems much higher at 78 than it did at 18. On the other hand, I am not nearly as concerned about reaching the top now as I was then. And that's a good thing. Mickey
