I keep hoping I'll find one of those among the plastic fantastics in the thrift shops!

The XA4 is about the ultimate solution for grab-and-go wide angle ... I really want one! I once had a Minolta Freedom Zoom clamshell that had a 28mm - ? zoom on it. I thought this was my solution, but directly after purchase I took it on a 10 day trip and it turned out to be a real POS ... electronics failed.

Gogeous shot, Gene. Was this doctored in the darkroom at all or a direct-from-negative transfer?

I love my XA also...had one back in high school and purchased one a few years ago on eBay. Took it out a couple of months ago to use it for the first time. Works like a charm! Love the size and shape of it...very easy to pocket and carry around. I took it to Key West over the 4th of July loaded with iso800 and did some handheld night shots. And now with reading threads like this one...I may be in the market for an XA4 as soon as I can afford one.

I keep hoping I'll find one of those (XA) among the plastic fantastics in the thrift shops! I've been on an "Oly Roll" over the past 60 days or so. First a Stylus, then a Stylus Epic. Both cheap enough that I was able to resell them on E-Bay at a profit. I recently found an XA3 tossed in with the Plastic Fantastics at Goodwill for five bucks and change! I'm liking it!! A case of sellers remorse caused by the sale of the two Styli was remedied yesterday by finding another Stylus. Kodacolor 400 in the XA3. Trying to get the hang of of the "Two Geisha, Three Geisha, Mt Fuji" focusing system!

I'm enjoying this thread. I just finished a roll of drugstore ISO 200 film in my Olympus XA. Some links below > A Tesla electric car parked on the street A local street musician The garage I used to park in when I had a document copy job many (many) moons ago..
