I STILL have a pile of Nikons. Considering starting a collection of Ricoh SLRs and RFs.

Seems like we did this a while back - but I thought it would be neat to see the current state of the many collections represented on this forum. Mine is a humble but very special home office display. Others, as I recall, own one of just about everything. Finally, I know that there are some of you who could open museums and charge admission! My humble collection of mostly-working Nikon M/F SLR's - 21 in all - started in 2007. Mark

Very nice, I have to keep mine in closed display, they would be all dusty in a week if I didn't.

Mine are in plastic drawers, we have a dust problem here and I have a cat who likes to rearrange things, from the shelf to the floor!

I am afraid to show photos of my R@RE and UNIQUE Soviet era equipment. Another collector might break in and grab some of my gear. Or even worse, not take anything and leave more FSU cameras. W.

My collection so far. They are stored in palastic boxes as Bestbeloved does not share my passion for cameras. There is one camera missing - the one I used to take the picture! All are working (and get used) except for the Rollei 35 which I managed to break within ten minutes of buying it.

My workplace and display room. Five of these inexpensive Ikea Billy bookshelves are in this 10'x10' room. They are covered with clear plastic sheeting which cuts down the dust and costs considerably less than glass doors. I particularly like the adjustability of the shelves. There are four more bookshelves in other rooms and I use built in bookshelves in this and other rooms. I had to decide what I wanted for my displays, elegance and fewer cameras or utilitarian units. As you can see I opted for the latter. I now have over 250 cameras as well as lenses and other photo equipment. Fortunately I live by myself so I need appease no one with my tasteless, unconventional, Mickey Mouse decor. Mickey

Wayne,
That is an impressive display and it has taught me something.
Your setting the cameras at an angle allows you to put more on the shelf and makes it easier to remove any one.
Most of mine are aligned shoulder to shoulder.
Now they are about to copy your arrangement.
I have a lot of work ahead of me.
Thank you, sir.
Mickey
Where do I start???

Hi Wayne ! You`ve got a very nice collection of Russian cameras ! As you know, I also like these models . I suspect “FSU” means “Former Soviet Union”. I would describe my Zorkis, FED`s and KMZ`s as USSR-cameras, because when they were built, the Soviet Union was still alive. Since a year, while rearranging my collection, I am also fighting for every square centimetre extra space . Mickey, this was my first thought also: Where do I start ? It took me weeks to find an answer… At the moment my answer to the question: What does your camera collection looks like? Is: partly messy ! MIK

I'd like to post photos of my accumulation, however, my digital machine doesn't go wide enough. I could load the Nikon N90S and fit the 14mm.
The cameras have steadily displaced books on shelves in four different rooms. I could assemble them one brand at a time on the kitchen table.
Perhaps not, the table might not be large enough. At least not for the Minolta collection.
Anyway, my displays aren't as neat as those of some of you.
