Just above the log in bars there are the words 'Keep me logged in'
Would it present any problems for the site if I stay logged in?

I click that and stay logged in all the time, have been logged in for months. So i can just click on the site and don't have to log in.

No problem that I'm aware of, Mickey. I've stayed logged in for years, and the only time I can remember that I had to log in again was when I upgraded my system and put in a new hard drive. Then I had to re-log-in to my emails and other forums etc. I also forgot to save my bookmarks and favourites so I had to go to them all again and enter them BTW, if you use C-Cleaner or a similar get-rid-of-junk program, remember to untick Cookies, Autocomplete form history, Saved passwords, Start Menu shortcuts and Desktop shortcuts or you'll have to start everything again from scratch. Thank you everyone.
Saving all those extra clicks each time I visit the site should greatly prolong the usefulness of my trigger finger.

PeterW Well that sure cured me of any desire to use C-Cleaner. I'll stay with soap and water and a hot shower. Mickey

I could be in a minority of one here. I log out of most sites since I found one that I couldn't log in to from a second computer "because someone is already logged in with that name" - I had left my own computer running and this was blocking any other login in my name. This probably only happens on 'paid for' sites, but it did cause a deal of irritation at the time. It also means that I don't forget to log out if I have used a "foreign" computer. If I were just using the one computer, and had sole use of it, I certainly wouldn't log out.
Just a further note: for the most (all?) sites themselves you are only logged in if your computer is running or stays any of the sites. It is in effect auto-login and auto-logout rather than permanent login.
