Is it possible to gain access to the following lines without posting and then modifying a letter?
These are lines that appear only when I click Modify. They are not available when first writing the letter.
> 1st line with B/F, Ital, Underline, etc.
> 2nd line with Tube, Block quote, Insert Hyperlink, etc.
> 3rd line with Smilies.
and
What is a Sticky Thread?

Mickey, my mind isn't working too well at the moment and I'm not sure what you mean on lines 1,2 & 3.
As regards "sticky thread" it is just one which is, as it were, always on top, so if you go to the list of threads that will always sit in first place.

Hi Mickey, Are you using the quick reply box that appears at the bottom of the last message in a thread? If so, only the "smiley face" icons are available. In order to access the other features, one has to use the "reply" link. That takes you to the same screen that you see when you click "modify." If you are clicking the "reply" link, and still can't access the full menu, try a restart. If that doesn't work, you'll have to talk to someone more computer wise than I, because my next step would be a hammer! Roy

It's all clear now. I (almost) never use the quick reply box as on most forums this is a cut-down version on the full reply box, without full facilities - which is essentially what Roy is saying.

Dave and Roy, Thank you for the help. Especially ..."my next step would be a hammer!" However, I am having some trouble picking the appropriate one. Mickey

Fergit the rubber mallet---the claw hammers are too dinky-----the rock's ok from long range, but hard on the fingers from short range! That leaves the mattock(?). Ain'cha got a 16lb sledge or splittin' maul?

MIckey, you would be better with a ball pein hammer - they are the ones to use when something is being a real pein in the @rse or @ss (depending where you are at the time).
