Today we moved the F-15c to its hardstand, after taking it to the wash area and giving it a bath. Cloudy, cold, and rainy! Pentax P3n with Tak A 28-80 zoom Fuji 200 A photographer from the local news media was there: The crew of the airport crash truck saw the "wimpy" stream of rinse water and got into the action: What looks like fog is the water from the fire engine. Our intrepid news photog ran under the wing and kept shooting About now, we realized we were either going to have to move the old crash truck, or take down the fence. Brakes were locked on the fire truck, so the fence came down I also had to switch to my P/S digi, cause I ran out of film! Now the batteries croaked in the digi!! Did Mr. Cool here have spares? OF COURSE NOT!!!The final parking place is at the end of the paved section visible to the right of the nose of the aircraft. Next Friday, we are having a dedication ceremony, and I'll shoot more then. Hope I haven't bored you! Roy BTW, we got the brakes free on the old fire engine-----AFTER the Eagle was parked Oh yeah---the guy in the last pic giving me the evil eye? None other than CMSgt Ret'd Don, giving me fits about running out of film. Should have heard him after he found out about the dead batteries! OUCH!

It sounds like you guys had a ball - controlled chaos.
I am sure the dedication ceremony will be as impressive as that beautiful airplane.
I hope you show us photos. Take plenty of batteries.

Thanks for keeping us posted on all the events leading up to this moment. I can see a lot of hard work went into this project. She looks great. Looking forward to photos of the dedication ceremony.
