I have just aquired a Franka Solida II with the uncoupled rangefinder - believe they were known as the IIR - and whilst I have managed to work out shutter, distance and aperture settings I am stumped as to what the three settings of V X M are. See below. If anyone could advise I would be most grateful. This is my first foray into MF so looking forward to seeing how the camera performs or not as the case may be!

The only one that probably matter nowdays is "X" which syncronizes it with electronic flash (at all speeds on a leaf shutter). The V and M setting are for different types of flash bulbs, I believe.

V is the delayed action setting (self timer).

Wayne and John thank you. I have just bought some Classic Pan 100 so will load up and see what I get this weekend. Could be interesting! Andy
