During a work I was assigned to do at the museum I fell upon one very interesting object - Avraham Soskin's Rolleiflex Original Standard. A camera manufactured between 1932 and 1935. I asked to take it on a photo-ride, and surprisingly was granted permission. Join me in one of the greatest adventures of Photo-Archaeology. The full story of Avraham Soskin's Rolleiflex at: wp.me/p1lo3d-aY

That is quite a privilege to be able to take an historical camera for a workout. Truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Bob, I thought it was an excuse just to spend a day with Ms. Feldman! ;D Of course, you are right. It is quite a privilege. (I don't know if any of you have heard of Marty Feldman. I presume they were not (closely) related. If you know of Marty you will know what I mean. He was a quite brilliant comedy scriptwriter. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Feldman)

Yaniv,
My complements on your historical tale and on your phoenix-like rebirth of that old Rollei.

Thank you for the kind comments. It was a thrilling experience for me, and I'm happy I have people to share it with. Most of the people I know around me sometimes roll their eyes behind my back after I'm finished telling them how amazing this was for me.

Yaniv,
I'm just pleased that 1) you make such interesting films 2) you let us know about them 3) they let you take that Rollei.
Dave.

Yaniv
Some people simply have no sense of history and feel no connection to it. That in the end is their loss.

Dave,
"(I don't know if any of you have heard of Marty Feldman. I presume they were not (closely) related. If you know of Marty you will know what I mean. He was a quite brilliant comedy scriptwriter. "
Marty Feldman was "The Man With the Eyes" to my crowd.
The only other comedians I can think of who could get a laugh with only their eyes were Eddie Rochester Anderson and Eddy Cantor .
