I am a dedicated TLR user starting with a Yashica 124G way back in 1970. I have been without one since I sold my C330. I may be remedying that. I have a friend that has a Mamiya C220 and only wants $125 for it. He is dropping it off tomorrow and if it checks out it will be in my kit. here she is. Looking forward to some photo work with it. It is much lighter than the C330 I owned. Should be easy to handhold

Rick: I've always been fond of the Mamiya TLR. Never collected them, though. Only have one C33...that I would have to uncover and dust, I'm afraid, before I could use it again.

I have only owned and used one TLR and that was a Minolta Autocord. It produced sharp and detailed photos as you would expect from med format but I just found it too cumbersome for my liking. That and the fact the I would need to get a med format scanner put it all on hold. If I do get a med format scanner I think my Folders will get more use being more to my liking. That said, I think that you will obviously enjoy using yours and be sure to post some images taken with it.

Only one in my collection...a Mamiya EM...that is in great shape and takes great pics!! For some reason...I tend to grab a 35 format camera rather than any of my nice medium formats.
Epson and Microtek make some very good flatbed scanners with built-in film capabilties. And they do an excellent job with medium format films.

I am fortunate in that my Pro lab is also a wedding/portrait studio hence he is very good at developing and scanning 120 film. only costs me $4.35 for two 12 shot rolls with Hi-res scans to CD

That is a good price.
Our 'pro' full service lab here(and I am so glad we have one) also will do what you obtain but the price is higher...at least doubled...but they do a fantastic job. I primarily tend to use them to develop any 120 and slides I take...and to mount/laminate enlargements I do at home.
I have tended to stay clear of the CD's as generally I cull unwanted shots from the roll. Am also presently keeping 4x6 sample prints, the slides/negs and my made CD-RW.

Ron, I have a new Epson V750M and I use it for my LF. Love the fluid mount but I hate the drudgery of scanning. William develops only, Hi res scans and burns them to CD. The price above was two rolls developed and scanned. Since he has been a pro photog for 30 years he is quite good at his work. He also does my printing over 11x14

I have a C220, a C220 F, and a bit of a smelly C330F. I used the 220 a great deal on the job and it was my first medium format camera. I Used to use a brick of Tri-X a week and I did my first good photographs with it. I think it is the K1000 of Medium Format. I am hoping to get an Epson flatbed scanner to be able to do larger film.

Two weeks ago, when I was at Lake Metro Parks, I ran into a guy with a Mamiya C220 taking pictures of the miniature trains. We struck up a conversation and he told me it was the camera he used most. I gave him the address of our board and he wrote it on his hand!

Let us know how the C220 works out, Rick. I have a thing for TLR's too. I used the school's Yashica A in high school and later picked up a Zeiss Ikoflex IIa, and later my Rolleiflex. But like you, I find scanning MF a drudge. I'm using an elderly Epson 2450 flatbed.

I have a nice Epson 4180 that I am considering selling or trading. It does 4800 DPI and has holders for film, slides and MF. Since I have the 750V it is redundant.
