I had a DAF 66 once, a bit outdated exterior but 1500 cc and the 'variomatic' system inside. My dad had a Volvo 66 GL back in about 1976/1977 which was basically just like the DAF and as you say, it drove in reverse as fast as driving forward. The thing which drew my attention was that the petrol cap was directly behind the rear number/registration plate. This was on a spring mechanism which pulled down to reveal the cap. I remember having a few laughs with friends who weren't familiar with this car and challenged them to find the petrol cap after I told them it didn't require any fuel. ;D Oh, happy days! Wonderful memories.

The tally was 501 about six months ago. I'm no longer counting!
There have been additions but the watchword these days is, cheap.
A new one arrived in the mail today. A Pentax Espio 200 which cost $10 (postage doesn't count!!)
Now, I admit I really didn't need another modern p & s but I had never come across one with a zoom extending to 200mm (48-200mm). How could I resist? Does anyone know of any other?

In NL, Utrecht, more and more students are discovering the film again. A local dealer is actively pushing this market and sells a P&S for 2 euro together with a film of normal price to every new student who wants to try. I donated some 30 P&S's for this purpose, under which your Espio 200. In return I get the earliest info of a Zeiss Ikon equipment brought in for sale. So it works both ways!

30+ SLR's working, another 15 or so in various stages, about 20 p&s in full working condition and about a dozen more for "parts" (a euphemism for JUNK!). Half a dozen rangefinders, a couple Kodak folders, and misc others. Probably around a hundred or so total. Do ya get the idea I really don't know? Yer RIGHT! ;D Roy

Carl, the Ford Corsair had the same. It was always useful when filling hoses wouldn't reach over the car to the other side. As you say when people didn't know where the filler cap was there were puzzled faces.

Mickey,
You're right, just to look and research about an equipment gives me enjoyment and satisfaction, each time I get a camera, I'll take the trouble to buy the relevant books about it, the books written by Ivor Matanle on collecting and using Classic Cameras and Classic SLRs is my camera Bible.
My love of camera started when I bought my first SLR to record the birth of my daughter, she's now coming to 48, collection in the begining was slow, still it was fun trying to budget for a camera, collection was on an upgrading basis, each time I upgrade , I kept my old camera, like I could not part with my pet.
Regards
Hye

I've just updated my list, and it's now 29 cameras and 58 lenses. I hope my wife doesn't use 'Camera Collector' ;D

About 500, with another 200 or so microscopes, 75 to 100 binoculars. Most work. See www.leitzmuseum.org to see about 60% of my collection. One day I will finish the website (Ha!)
