Well I don't have much sympathy for buyers who get heart attacks when they find out what the import duties are when the item arrives. All that can be found out beforehand with a phone call to the appreciate government agency. OTH dealing with customs officers can be trying at best on occasion. It is not the sellers responsibility to know what import fees the buyer is liable to pay. That is solely the responsibility of the buyer to know that.
As for shipping to OZ, I had not considered that anyone would not mind paying the price of the item all over again in shipping costs and live with the wait. OTH the fellow I was talking to in Brisbane did not come back and say he would bite the bullet on the shipping cost/wait time and to send it regardless. Personally I would hate to be in a situation where I had to accept that as a fact of life and live with it.
