As a Zeiss fan I have a pair of Gradual lenses (almost permanently attached to me...), never had any problem with those - just a matter of adaptation? Hans

There were no visible horizontal lines separating the different dioptres. I could not wear them. Going down steps in particular presented a problem as the next step down was never where it was supposed to be. They also severely restricted my peripheral vision and I was afraid to drive. I think they were made by Zeiss. Since my cataract operations I do not need anything for distance only for reading. However I was unable to adapt to having those Benjamin Franklin glasses sitting low on my nose so I got a pair with plain glass at the top and my reading prescription below. The operations also corrected my colour vision. I was not aware that I had been looking through a yellow filter. Quite a revelation. I use my left eye when looking through a cameras viewfinder. I can see equally as well through it with or without glasses. Mickey

Either this thread has gone crazy or I have.
Please, someone, say it is the thread.

Mickey, don't worry, it sure is the thread. I still think I can see clearly, although since I golf (2 years now - retired, you know) I can't believe my eyes seeing the direction that white little bastard is flying... and my intention is soooo good???!

OK, I'll come I clean......I have Varifocals, reading glasses, distance glasses, shotgun glasses, and pistol glasses......Sad isn't it. The vari focals take a long time for me to get used to even though I have had them before. A month or so seems to be about what it take me. The reading glasses with my magnifier are great for close work on cameras, etc. It ain't that fun getting old and loosing your natural autofocus capability.
