Hi all! Happy New Year to all my friends!! I'm starting the New Year off with a couple of cameras I picked up the other day. The first one is a Samsung ECX-2. The ECX-1 was a design by F.A.Porsche, a very spacey looking camera. This one is the second in the series. It has more features than I can list, but at least I got the manual with it! I'm more excited about this one than the others, and as soon as my batteries come in I'm taking it out and shoot a test roll. Please note the lens on it!! If anyone out there can give me some more information on this little gem, I would greatly appreciate it Doug

It looks like a distant cousin of the Univex Mercury with that bulge on the top plate!

I think it's based on the Samsung Vega 140S, which is a camera I always keep a film in and leave in the glove box of my car, it's a superb camera, I'm tempted to say "for a point and shoot", but that would do it a disservice. The 140S was European Camera of the year sometime back, so it was always recognized as a good camera, and the ECX2 shares the same lens, and I think most, if not all, features. I think the 140S even does bracketing.
