Hi All! I've been getting very interested in this type of photography. TTV stands for "Through The Viewfinder", and refers to the taking of photos through the viewfinder lens of an old TLR camera. I was sitting out on the back deck, the sun was shining, and I thought "why not ?". I got out one of my old Anscoflexes, focused my digital (set on macro) on the viewfinder screen, and took a couple of shots. It was fun to try, the results are interesting, and I believe I'll be getting more involved with it. Besides, it's fun! Doug

It's an interesting technique, and one that I like when it's done 'through the viewfinder' rather than 'with a mobile phone app'. I've been admiring the work of Friendly Joe on Flickr for a long time www.flickr.com/photos/friendlyjoe/who takes some remarkable pictures this way, and he uses a cardboard tube on top of the TLR. There are certainly easier ways to get this kind of shot, like photoshop, but that misses the point.
