I went to clean our church, and after I was done, went for a stroll through the cemetary. I've been doing some research and taking photos for a book on eastern Broome County, NY that I'm doing. I might include this one.
Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
I can tell what I like in the picture. Framing with round borders, as if looking through a window. The light from the side gives a special mood, the trees provides balance in the photo. Also, the chapel, center of interest, is well placed and tombstones are leading to the chapel. I like the composition, the light, and the mood in the photo.
The photo was taken with my Fuji FinePix through the viewfinder of an Anscoflex II. Of course I resized it and changed the color, but that's all. The Church was built in 1841, so I thought the look was in line with it's age. I was thinking of printing it out in one of the Daguerrotype plate sizes and framing it to match the period.
