I also give you an accolade for the pics!
And definately agree that the realistic colors as you snapped the frame are best. I want to do as much as possible with the camera/lens themselves. Do use a polarizer some for darkening the sky, but that is it; except for a UV which I use mostly to protect the lens.
Really the only things I do in photo editing is some minor cropping and sizing for printing.
Oh yes, I grew up hearing a variation of that saying... "Red at night, sailors delight", "Red in the morning, sailors warning".
