I'm starting with a "pillow" mask that doesn't completely cover the nose --actually goes into the nostrils. Has only one strap. I tend to toss and turn and it's supposed to stay sealed better than a face mask. We'll see. Just wish the stuff would get approved by insurance quickly. I'm tired of being tired. I have been using one since May, I tried one about 7 years ago and just could not use it. This time I seem to have a better machine and the full mask works great for me. Most nights I sleep much better and rarely get sleepy during the day. Good luck, hope it works for you. David

Working well for me. One thing I have noticed is I dream a lot more than I have in recent years, which indicates deeper sleep. We live in a climate where the humidity is seldom more than 10 percent so the humidifier is a real plus at night. I even got a second, older machine on Craig's List -- cost almost nothing -- that I use for traveling and as a backup -- would hate to be without one now.

Have a look too at I Hate Cpap. Oral devices are somewhat more portable than CPAP machines and tolerated better by a proportion of the population. They probably are not quite as efficient, though they seem to work well enough for most.
