I got a nice Karat 36 with a Heligon and the typical gummed up helicals and C-R shutter. Pulled it all apart with a lot of hard to reach little tiny screws and cleaned it all piece by piece. Put it together and the focus is smooth and the shutter works throughout the slow speeds and up to... what? Then realized I hadn't reset the cam follower on the high speed cam but was too tired to take it all apart again. So, I thought screw it and used the 1/250 top speed for my shots. Now I find that the focus is off. Whoa... I must have remounted the damn helicals one thread off... I need counseling like Donkey said. Where's that bourbon I got for Christmas?

Someone should have invented a washing machine for old cameras, just push the button and the camera gets a good clean. One thing have I learned, when fiddling with cameras one must not be in a hurry. Godd luck, the Karat is a small nice outfit.
