I have an object that I have had a long time, most likely came from a yard sale and I don't know what it is used for. It is obviously a roller of some kind but for what? It says KODAK on one side and RESTHERE on the other side. It is 11 and 1/2 inches wide and is threaded with at 3/8 16 for something to attach to it. The roller can be replaced by removing one of the screws in the ends. Roller appears to be rubber. Any ideas? Attachment Deleted

Same as Stephen except I used to use it only for ferrotyping glossy prints. Never for just drying on my dryer.

Thanks for the replies, but does anyone know why it says RESTHERE on one side?

Just a guess.
If you rest it on the rubber roller the roller will develop a flat spot. Therefore rest it on its back with the roller in the air.
