www.autographer.com/#homeNew Product, ( absolutely no connection), a UK designed camera, that takes photos for you all day!!..frankly the wide angle results look pretty ghastly, they would bore after a few minutes of viewing. Built in GPS(why?)..Ohh...,I know, in case the photographer is blotto, and cannot remember where the camera decided to take the photos, Yes, the camera itself decides!!......... Now we not only have incompetent photographers, you can now have an incompetent camera to go with them. Stephen.

Oh how I long for the stupid cameras.
Three settings. Shutter speed. Aperture. Focus.
Instruction manuals were often little more than a pamphlet. No batteries. No beeps. No Bokeh.
They always obeyed the photographer.
Today their film and processing costs have put them on the shelf for good.

How do I change the image capture rate?
When Autographer is on, press the ’Menu’ button twice to show ‘Capture Rate’.
Press the ’Action’ button to scroll to one of the following settings:
Low – up to 120 images per hour Medium – up to 240 images per hour High – up to 360 images per hour360 an hour! the battery lasts 10 hours, the maths is simple so you spend your life looking through all these pictures hoping there's a decent one. Life's too short for this crap....

After a days photography, you wirelessly transmit them to your tablet, and spend the next day viewing the shots and taking shots of you viewing the shots, and the next viewing the shots of you viewing the first day shots, and the next day you view the shots of the previous days shots of you viewing the shots.....and so on till .....??

I'll bet if you walked up to the person wearing it and zapped them with an electric cattle prod, it would stop taking pictures.

But almost certainly some camera collector would find it where it fell and start pushing its one button again. He would undoubtedly boast on the forum to which he belongs about the kill he made at the flea market. I am sure he wouldn't admit he found it in the abattoir. Mickey
Mickey--not for all of us......some of us still love film and are stubborn as all heck.....(that includes me).
You are one of those rare and special people who keeps the past alive and well. This morning I was going through Henry's mail order stock of films and chemicals. I was surprised at how much they still have, particularly Ilford and Kodak. It is possible to get off processing and printing B&W film relatively cheaply but then I thought. And thought. Do I really want to spend hours in my darkroom when I could be outside getting sunburned and mosquito bitten? I was never very fond of darkroom work so I opted for the wild outdoors. I wish I could find someone who loved the smell of acetic acid and sepia toner who would charge me yesteryear's prices or close to them. Speaking of charging. I am off to charge my K-5's battery. My oldest SLR is a Kodak. My smartest digital is a Kodak. I think I had an epiphany.

I once had a boss who had flown F-105s in Vietnam. The pilots of more advanced aircraft bragged about their smart bomb technology. His reply: "We do things differently here. Dumb bombs, smart pilots."
I'm not sure I want a camera smarter than I am.

Frankly, I am happy about this "Thinking camera".
At last I can put my brain in a jar and give it a much needed rest.
Should I use formaldehyde, alcohol or dill pickle Juice? Perhaps some Lake Ontario water?
This being Hallowe'en I shall put the jar out on my verandah tonight and see what reaction I get.

Time for a peanut butter and dill pickle sandwich. (don't knock it if you haven't tried it)
