Here is a trio of pretty strange cameras that I have in the collection. Left to right, Fotron, Revere Eyematic, and Fotochrome. ....Fred Attachment Deleted

The Fotron is interesting in that it was sold door-to-door and you had to send the film cassettes back to the company to be processed--just like the original Kodak box cameras.

I have seen one of them, the Fotochrome, which used an Ansco positive film of Fotochrome's own design and format, unfortunately completely useless camera these days without the special Ansco film.
They were notorious for being badly assembled any way, and lasted on the market only a couple of years. Amazing design, where the image is reflected on to the film in the bottom of the camera, and is credited by some to be Dr Land's inspiration for the rigid versions of the SX70 Polaroid designs. A reflective mirror had been used by Tessina, in the miniature camera they made.
None of the three were ever sold outside the States as far as I am aware, the Fotochrome was owned by a collector.

Just looked up details for the Fotochrome, and goodness me, Petri Cameras in Japan made them, to designs from Fotochrome. Petri must have lost all presence of mind not to have queried the bad design, as comments from an ex employee of Fotochrome are on the net, about the total unreliability of the camera.

Two corrections, it s just possible to use the Fotochrome, it can take 120 width film, but is fraught with problems in practice, and it appears from a friend that it was imported to the UK for a while, by Stanley Kalms of Dixon's who had it as an exclusive line. .......anybody got a working 3D Nimslo!..?...
