This was my 1967 Dodge Coronet 500 I called Gwendolyn. I sure miss her, we got into all kinds of trouble together.

Thanks. My old pals called me Mopar Randy because at one time I had a '66 Coronet 500, a '67 Coronet 500, and a '67 Coronet R/T all in the same colors. The '66 Coronet ended up with a Charger front end after an accident on the way to work.

I remember my dad having a white Coronet like that. I think he traded it for a Plymouth Fury sedan.

My first car was a 1954 Ford Consul. Not only do I not have a picture of her I don't even want to remember her.
We parted on bad terms.

Dad would not consider a 54' Consul, or a Ford generally, a bad column change design and three speed gearboxes was his opinion, but I did have a Zephyr version myself later on, and had the column change fall apart at speed whilst changing down! The Zephyr engine was quite good... at using a lot of petrol and even more oil, but it never failed to run. The suspension was best described as a soft agricultural bounce, with added leans on corners, it basically wallowed, but it was comfortable to drive. A 2.3 litre six cylinder, it had been bored out a bit. Only got about 18/20 miles per UK gallons, (approx 16 miles per US gallon). Accelerated very nicely, but a modest top speed of about 90 max.
