Hi All! I picked this one up at a local antique shop the other day. The seller wanted 35 for it. I talked him down to 15USD. It came with the case, only half of which is good, luckily, the bottom half. I don't think it's anything special, but I like the look of it, and couldn't resist Doug

The Arette cameras were well made, but quite modest specs, on this version, like small shutter speed range, but decent modern styling on most Arette models. The lenses usually are the simpler types, but fully comparable with similarly priced rivals, and that was the problem, they had too many rivals, and offered nothing special, to set them apart from the opposition. They marketed other Arette variants with better lenses and full range shutters, but this forced costs up beyond the rivals from Japan, and production ceased in the early 1960's. Stephen.
